Ashley and Shaun are one of the sweetest couples I have ever met! We had a beautiful session at Holcomb Gardens located on the campus of Butler University. They brought along their sweet boxer pup for pictures too! Mind you this evening was near 90 degrees and humid, but with these two lovebirds you would never even tell we were slightly sweating the heat. I wish you both the absolute happiest of years together!
I am looking forward to photographing your wedding this fall!
A few weeks ago I got to meet with two of the nicest guys for their engagement session. Mark and Ken, along with Mark's mom and best friend met me at IU Bloomington for their e-session. It was a gorgeous evening with an even more gorgeous couple. You can easily see the love radiate around these two. IU is where Mark and Ken met and it holds a very special place in their heart. We got so many great images and I could easily share their whole gallery, but I figured I would leave it to a few of my favorite. I am so excited to photograph their wedding this fall.
I'm glad I don't have to cap a limit on the number of photos I share when I blog, because there simply would be no way to narrow down all of these GORGEOUS images! Bret and Stacia are such a fun and relaxed couple; which made their engagement session such a breeze.
We started their session off at the Carmel Arts District. I had never taken pictures here before, but have been anxious to find a session to do here. I LOVE the atmosphere and the urban feel that it gives. There are so many neat little areas to stop and snap pictures. It's one of those places you just walk along the street and if you see something that stands out you try it out and snap some shots. We went on a Friday evening and it was pretty hoppin'. (One of my favorite little stores is there as well, Silver in the City, along with lots of little pubs and restaurants. Go check it out sometime!)
We finished up our session at the beautiful Coxhall Gardens. I wanted to save this location for last because I knew we would be there for sunset, and let's just say the gorgeous sun didn't disappoint. It was such a nice evening, not too hot or cold + light wind + amazing light+ a fun beautiful couple = one awesome engagement session.
I am so excited to photograph Bret + Stacia's wedding this September! I wish them all the happiness in the world!

I had so much fun spending the day with Abby and Tyler! Abby is my best friend from college and I was so excited when she asked me to take their engagement pictures! Abby and Tyler are seriously made for each other and when they met it was love at first sight! Abby and Tyler judged a supreme showmanship contest together last year and that is where they first met. Of course they met while judging their favorite thing, pigs! From there, their love for each other only grew. I knew that when Abby started texting me about Tyler, I knew that he was the 'one' for her.
A year later Tyler ended up judging the same show again and little did Abby know that night he was going to propose. I totally called it... I knew that morning that is was going to happen! The two share a love for pigs, so if your looking to find ya' some good ones, I got a connection for you! As you will see in the pictures, Brent the boar even made a grand appearance, and no, he's not named after my husband!
The sun wasn't out much the day we took their pictures, but we were able to get so many great shots and I wish I could share them all in this post! Abby's family farm is so gorgeous with so many unique spots to get pictures. We also went to Moscow, not Russia Moscow, but the teeny tiny town in Rush County to snap some shots at the covered bridge. The bridge was destroyed in 2008 by a tornado that swept through the town of approximately 80 and was rebuilt in 2010. Tyler was anxious to get down in the creek and that is where we finished up our session and I am so glad we did because the pictures turned out amazing!
I wish these two love birds many years of happiness and I am so excited for them to tie the knot next year!
First off these two are seriously model material. My brother hates pictures, but he was a trooper for me today! And I even got a few genuine smiles!
Now let me introduce you to my brother, Evan, and future sister in law Erica. When I first met Erica four years ago she was quiet and shy, yet in her eyes you could see the love she had for my brother. They attended different high schools and met through a mutual friend. Erica had saw Evan through a truck window one day and had mentioned to her brother that she thought that kid was cute. That kid being Evan.
In the last four years I could probably count on both hands the number of times the two have spent away front eachother. They both have hearts of gold and would do anything for anyone at the drop of a hat.
Four years later, Erica still only loves chicken strips, Evan still sends her flowers every anniversary, and their love for eachother has only grown.
I could not have picked someone sweeter myself than Erica to spend her life with my brother. Erica has already been a part of our family and we love her and Evan more than they will ever know.
Erica and Evan asked Brent and I to capture their wedding day for them next June and I can't feel honored enough to do so.
