October is my favorite month of the year, well besides July, cause it's my birthday, duh, as well as the month my son was born! BUT other than that I wish October was every month. It's perfect for so many reasons. The weather begins to turn crisp and I can pull out my leggings and boots, cozy sweaters, and the sunlight seems to turn soft and be a perfect time for all of those amazing fall pictures just as it did for me and my clients last Saturday! October is a busy month for photographers. Many scheduling clients around the changing leaves and fitting everyone in for those beautiful fall pictures.
Saturday I hosted my fall mini sessions at Camp Cullom in Frankfort, IN. The weather was chilly, but by the gorgeous sun you would have thought differently. What was even better was the array of pictures I got to take! I had a little sweetheart who is almost 1, a beautiful couple, an amazing mommy and her little boy, and a sweet maternity session.
I had so many great pictures it was quite difficult to narrow down what ones to share!
You guys. This session was so fun! It was such a gorgeous evening at the beautiful Camp Cullom, and I had a blast being able to capture some amazing memories of this fun family! Kandis, fellow photographer of Kandis Chapman Photography asked me to take their family pictures and I could not have been more delighted! David and Kandis are the sweetest couple and if you add in sassy and spunky Adileigh you have the perfect fam bam!
One thing I love about family sessions is the true and honest pictures that tell the story of life. We got many great posed pictures, but I truly love those *in the moment* pictures where everyone is being themselves pretending the crazy lady with the camera isn't even there. Adi loves her mommy and daddy so much and I could easily see just how much they adore her.
And don't you just love Adileigh and Kandis's outfits?! Their whole wardrobe was so colorful and full of spunk! I loved it!
Tuesday was such a beautiful evening for Vanessa's senior picture session at Coxhall Gardens! There are so many beautiful areas to take pictures and we got so many great shots. I still can not believe that Vanessa is a senior this year. I have know her for almost four and a half years now (her sister is my soon to be sister-in-law); so when we first met she was still in middle school. Since then she has grown into a beautiful young lady. Vanessa was recently crowned her high school's homecoming queen! I enjoyed spending the evening with Vanessa and her mom, Kim. I wish I could share all of Vanessa's pictures; however, this post would be a mile long.
I had so much fun spending the day with Abby and Tyler! Abby is my best friend from college and I was so excited when she asked me to take their engagement pictures! Abby and Tyler are seriously made for each other and when they met it was love at first sight! Abby and Tyler judged a supreme showmanship contest together last year and that is where they first met. Of course they met while judging their favorite thing, pigs! From there, their love for each other only grew. I knew that when Abby started texting me about Tyler, I knew that he was the 'one' for her.
A year later Tyler ended up judging the same show again and little did Abby know that night he was going to propose. I totally called it... I knew that morning that is was going to happen! The two share a love for pigs, so if your looking to find ya' some good ones, I got a connection for you! As you will see in the pictures, Brent the boar even made a grand appearance, and no, he's not named after my husband!
The sun wasn't out much the day we took their pictures, but we were able to get so many great shots and I wish I could share them all in this post! Abby's family farm is so gorgeous with so many unique spots to get pictures. We also went to Moscow, not Russia Moscow, but the teeny tiny town in Rush County to snap some shots at the covered bridge. The bridge was destroyed in 2008 by a tornado that swept through the town of approximately 80 and was rebuilt in 2010. Tyler was anxious to get down in the creek and that is where we finished up our session and I am so glad we did because the pictures turned out amazing!
I wish these two love birds many years of happiness and I am so excited for them to tie the knot next year!
