This past winter I got to spend an evening with Chelsea and Kaleb at Dull's Tree Farm for their maternity session. It sure doesn't look like winter from these pictures, but these were taken at the end of December and it was chilly! I've known Chelsea since we were in preschool and I was so excited when she found out she was expecting! Her and Kaleb were blessed with a handsome little boy, Kendrick. Kendrick's daddy is a police officer so he has some big shoes to fill one day! Congrats to Chelsea and Kaleb on their newest little bundle of joy!
A few weeks ago I had little Miss Addie over for her 6 month session. She is the sweetest little thing! I LOVE the flower backdrop I put together for her session and isn't her 'half' onsie the cutest! She was a little stubborn and didn't give me too many smiles, but she gave me so many different facial expressions; which I am okay with because as parents aren't those things we want to remember? I had made two flower bonnets I was so excited to use, Addie was so petite that it was a little big on her, but she reminds me of a little cabbage patch baby, so sticking cute! Happy half birthday sweet girl!

Last week I had an eventful senior session with Jaren. Well it wasn't anything super crazy, but I did about get my truck stuck in a ditch. Thank goodness I had 4-wheel drive to get us out! That was the first time I had ever had to use my 4-wheel drive! Let's just say my heart was pounding pretty hard. :)
I've known Jaren for many years now. She grew up right down the road from where I grew up. All the seniors I have been doing pictures for lately I can remember as elementary or middle school kiddos, so it's been neat to see them grow up and soon graduate high school!
Along with finishing up her senior year, Jaren will be graduating cosmetology school in just a few weeks! How exciting to have a job lined up before even finishing high school!
For Jaren's session we cruised the countryside and found some neat little locations to shoot at. On my way to meet her, it started raining and quit about five minutes after we arrived at out first location and literally started again as soon as we finished! It was luck!
Good luck Jaren starting your career in the hair industry and congratulations on your completion of high school!
I'm glad I don't have to cap a limit on the number of photos I share when I blog, because there simply would be no way to narrow down all of these GORGEOUS images! Bret and Stacia are such a fun and relaxed couple; which made their engagement session such a breeze.
We started their session off at the Carmel Arts District. I had never taken pictures here before, but have been anxious to find a session to do here. I LOVE the atmosphere and the urban feel that it gives. There are so many neat little areas to stop and snap pictures. It's one of those places you just walk along the street and if you see something that stands out you try it out and snap some shots. We went on a Friday evening and it was pretty hoppin'. (One of my favorite little stores is there as well, Silver in the City, along with lots of little pubs and restaurants. Go check it out sometime!)
We finished up our session at the beautiful Coxhall Gardens. I wanted to save this location for last because I knew we would be there for sunset, and let's just say the gorgeous sun didn't disappoint. It was such a nice evening, not too hot or cold + light wind + amazing light+ a fun beautiful couple = one awesome engagement session.
I am so excited to photograph Bret + Stacia's wedding this September! I wish them all the happiness in the world!

Last October I had the pleasure to photograph Kayla and Jacob's wedding in Sheridan, IN. I've known Kayla for many years and we were both a big part of our school's FFA chapters, local 4-H clubs and even majored in the same subject in college. It's crazy how similar actually, I mean we both even share the same first and middle name! ;)
I had such a fun day photographing these two and their families. Kayla and Jacob's families are both super sweet and each I know are so thankful to have both Kayla and Jacob enter their families. A sweet memory from their wedding, Kelsey, Kayla's sister sang during the ceremony, but she too gave the BEST maid of honor speech, she sang her speech to the song, "My Sister, My Friend," by Reba. It was so good!!! The ceremony took place at their church outside Sheridan and the ceremony was at the beautiful Palomino Ballroom in Zionsville. It was a dreary day outside the day of their wedding, but that didn't stop the smiles on their faces or stop them from soaking up every minute of the best day of their lives! I wish Kayla and Jacob all the happiness in their marriage!
This is my Aunt Crystal and two cousins, Will and Whitney! Aren't they such a gorgeous family?!? They love to joke around with there momma who they love to call 'bear'. My aunt is like me and LOOVEES pictures. Between her and my mom the apple didn't fall far from the tree. You can ask anyone, I've always been a picture ham, or so they say anyway. We had a beautiful evening session at Camp Cullom. We shot until there was not a lick of light left and the pictures were nothing short of amazing! They are one photogenic family and I loved being able to take these pictures for them to cherish through the years!
Emily and Tucker have the BEST personalities! And when you have their personalities and put them in front of the camera, it made shooting soooo much fun. They were relaxed and it made taking their pictures such a breeze. That's one thing I stress to my clients, just be you! I loved the way the two looked at each other and I was able to capture those sweet moments between them. When you are YOU, it makes taking pictures so much easier, after all don't you want to remember the real you 20 years from now?
On Tuesday, March 8th 2016 at 4:22pm I had the privilege of photographing a new little life enter the world! Birth photography is becoming more and more popular and it had always been in the back of my head to do one day. Acacia had contacted me to see if I would be interested in capturing the big day for her and her husband Shawn, and without a doubt I wanted to do it. This was the first birth I had the honor of capturing and the first I had ever seen in person! It was an absolutely amazing experience. Acacia was a complete rock star through the whole process and Shawn was a great birth coach for her, encouraging her and even getting her delivery music going to help her through her pushes! She had a fast delivery, 4 pushes and baby Harrison made her grand entrance. Little miss Harrison was welcomed by her grandparents and big brother Hudson. It’s hard to explain just how beautiful and perfect the day was, but the pictures speak more than a thousand words; so I’ll leave it at that.
I want to again thank Acacia and Shawn for allowing me to capture all of these pictures that they will be able to treasure forever!

Kaitlin and Ross were such a fun and easy couple to photograph! We had our session at Adams Mill and the colors in October of course are gorgeous, but the amount of leaves changing that time of year at Adams Mill is stunning! Put a beautiful couple together with the amazing scenery and you simply can't lose. Kaitlin and I graduated high school together... wait for it... six years ago!?! How is that even possible?
Brooke is one of the absolute sweetest people I have ever met. I was trying to think back to how long ago it was that I first met Brooke, and if I remember right she was in like the first grade. I could be wrong so don't take my word for it, but I remember her running around the pig barn at the county fair when she was little! Brooke just started her senior year of softball so if you get the chance go out and cheer her on. I wish Brooke all the happiness in her future endeavors after high school! I know with her attitude and sweet personality she will do big things!
